Every cookie and tracking technology we use, what it does, who provides it, and how long it lasts.
Version 2.0 · In effect from 31 July 2026
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the link, which appears here and in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use technologies that work similarly — local storage, session storage, pixels and software development kits — and this policy covers all of them, whatever the underlying mechanism.
They allow a site to remember things between page loads: that you are signed in, which language you chose, or that you already answered the cookie banner. They can also be used to build a picture of how you move through a site, which is why consent matters.
Under § 25 (1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), storing information on your device, or accessing information already stored there, requires your prior consent. The only exception, in § 25 (2), is where it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested.
So: the strictly necessary cookies in section 3 are set without consent, because the site cannot work without them. Everything in sections 4 and 5 is set only after you consent, on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you reject or ignore the banner, none of them load at all — they are not merely inactive, the scripts are never inserted into the page.
We record your choice, and the time you made it, so that we can demonstrate consent as Article 7(1) GDPR requires. We ask again if the list of providers materially changes.
These are always active. They carry no advertising or analytics function and cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
lsm_consent_v1 | Pila Studio | Stores your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page, and evidences your consent | Local storage, until you clear it |
| Authentication token | Pila Studio | Keeps you signed in to the web application and secures requests to our API | Session, or until sign-out |
NEXT_LOCALE | Pila Studio | Remembers your chosen language | 1 year |
| Theme preference | Pila Studio | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode | Local storage, until you clear it |
| Security and bot protection | Arcjet | Detects automated abuse and enforces rate limits to protect the service | Request-scoped |
| Hosting and delivery | Vercel | Routes requests and measures aggregate traffic. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not identify individual visitors | Request-scoped |
Set only with your consent. These tell us which features are used, which pages people leave from, and where the interface confuses people.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_* | PostHog (EU Cloud, Frankfurt) | Product analytics, feature flags and experiments. Assigns a pseudonymous identifier and records the pages and features you use | 12 months |
| Session replay | PostHog | Records a reconstruction of your interactions — clicks, scrolls and navigation — so we can diagnose usability problems. All text entered into input fields is masked and never transmitted | Up to 12 months |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors and measures traffic and audience. Configured with IP anonymisation | Up to 2 years |
About session replay. We understand that a recording of your screen activity feels more intrusive than a page counter, so we want to be precise: it captures where you click, scroll and navigate. It does not capture what you type into form fields, and we do not use it to read your farm records. If you would rather not be recorded, decline analytics — everything else on the site works identically.
Set only with your consent. These measure whether our advertising works and help us avoid showing you ads for something you already have.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp, _fbc | Meta Platforms Ireland | Meta Pixel — attributes sign-ups and purchases to our Facebook and Instagram campaigns, and supports remarketing | 3 months |
| Conversions API events | Meta Platforms Ireland | Server-side transmission of the same conversion events, using a hashed email address. Sent only where you have consented to marketing | Not stored on your device |
| Affiliate attribution | GoMarketMe | Credits the creator or partner whose link brought you to us | Up to 90 days |
The iOS and Android apps do not use browser cookies, but they do use comparable identifiers:
You can reset or limit the advertising identifier at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android, and revoke notification permission in your device settings.
Declining analytics or marketing has no effect on your access to the site or the app, and no feature is withheld as a result.
We update this policy when we add, remove or change a provider. Where the change is material we increment the consent version, which asks everyone to make their choice again rather than carrying old consent over to new processing.
